The Motions added a new guitarist/singer Chuck Throckmorton to the group and played their debut gig with Chuck at Titanic on Friday, November 27, 2009 to a packed house. The band rocked, and everyone had a great time. We love playing at Titanic and can’t wait to get back in there. Stay tuned.

On Friday, May 29, 2009, the Motions will return to perform at the ever-popular Mr. Moe’s Restaurant and Bar in Coconut Grove. Mr. Moe’s is a happening spot and has been named “Best sports Bar,” “Best College Bar,” and “Best BBQ” in Miami by ESPN as reported by City Search. The band will play from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Don’t miss it.

We are really pleased to be going back to one of our favorite spots. Yep, we will going down with the ship on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the “Titanic Brewery & Restaurant,” the ever-popular pub/restaurant and music venue near the University of Miami, 5813 Ponce De Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, Florida (directly next to the University of Miami’s Baseball Stadium).  We will be playing from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

We are alwas really pleased to see so many of our friends who come our gigs and never seem to get tired of us. We love you man!!!

On January 31, 2009, a week following the successful performance at the K.I.D.S. fundraiser, Christina Christian will be performing again with The Motions at a special invitation-only showcase performance for Miami’s top attorneys. It should be lots of fun, despite the lawyers.

Hello gang! This is a wonderful charity event for the organization K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations). The Motions will be accompanied by Christina Christian for several songs. She was an American Idol (5th place) finalist in Season One.  She is the one pictured on the right in both pictures.

**The January 23rd K.I.D.S. fundraising event is being produced by Julia Kreibich along with a group of Miami entrepreneurs who believe in giving back to the community what they have been fortunate enough to receive. 100% of proceeds raised from the event will benefit underprivileged children in Miami. Everyone involved is contributing their time/money/products with the sole purpose of raising awareness of poverty affecting kids all over, but especially here in our community. K.I.D.S. is a notable charity which has received several awards in recent years…including making Forbes Magazine’s top 200 charity’s list. Last year they distributed $65 million in product with only a 2.25% operating cost.
